They also got my entire Over the Rhine collection. Which is ironic considering that the same night, somewhere in Columbus, someone else (we assume) was stealing all of OTR's gear. They still sounded great last night, and those memories are all I have left...

Look on the bright side, they can't take those memories! I am sometimes the optomist. But that did suck very bad though, just think, you might have introduced Over the Rine and the Indigo Girls to some people who need their music :-)
You know Bart, I've thought about that, and if I could convince myself that the kind of people who steal things from other peoples' cars in the middle of the night were the kind of people who'd dig Indigo Girls and Over the Rhine, I think I'd be okay with the whole thing. What breaks my heart is thinking that they got their stash home, checked out the CD's and said, "What's this shit?!" and threw it all in the trash. Truly a sad day.
They would never do that.
You'd be surprised.
I kinda guessed that I might. Just wanted to be optimistic.
