hip hip hooray...
ben, ichiro is at .366 as of last night's game. what's the closest anyone come to .400 since ted williams did it? no, not a trivia question...i don't know:)
George Brett in '80 or 81' is the first guy who springs to mind... Tony Gwynn looked good late in '94 before the strike, and I feel like Rod Carew made a run at it too. Lemme do some lookin'.
What's going to be fun is watching him chase George Sisler's all time single season hits record.
